Frances was trained in the Classical tradition in Florence at Charles Cecil Studios from 2001 to 2004. She has since been invited back to the same school to teach for the summer term from 2005 - 2009.

Frances has had her work displayed in various exhibitions including The Not The Turner Prize Exhibition in 2004 and The Royal Society of Portrait Painters Annual Exhibition from 2005 - 2010, where in 2006 she was awarded the De Laszlo Foundation Award for Portraiture. In 2010 she was invited to become a member of The Society of Women Artists and was also awarded the Winsor and Newton Young Artist Award. Frances also put together her first large solo exhibiton in the ideal surroundings of Bonhams, Edinburgh in Ocotber 2009.

Frances accepts commissions in oil for landscapes and portraits. She also takes commissions in charcoal for portraits. She is presently based from the Borders but is often away travelling for commissions.
